Selim Vanbecelaere

After his first course at Impro Brussels back in 2019, he was hooked. Selim has been exploring improv theatre’s potential to connect, co-create and be present ever since. He loves "playing from the wings" as much as grounded character work or taking workshops on a specific style.

Born in Brussels, Selim works at an impact investment fund which neatly combines his millennial and geeky side. Off-stage you can find him playing spikeball in the park, listening to podcasts while cooking or at Rawaa’s amazing brunches (duh).

We are only what we mean to others

The inscriptions on a tombstone are only a summary of one’s life. The fraction of that person visible to all. Their true nature, on the other hand, is so often well hidden under the surface. ⅞ dives deeper into the complexity of people and their stories. In this improvised long-form, Falafel (...)
